Our
club motto hangs high above our downtown Chicago loft space
and reads: The Adventurers Club, 1912, To provide a hearth
and home for those who have left the beaten path and made for
adventure...

The
Long Table, is our gathering place to eat and shoot the
breeze.... The Adventurers Club serves lunch everyday and is open
frequently for adventure programs and events.

Many
of our members from years passed, like Teddy Roosevelt were big
game hunters. Here are a few museum pieces found on the
wall. Around the mantle are pictures of some of our more famous
members like Roald Amundsen who was the first human to reach the
South Pole. Next to him is a photo of Sir Ernest
Shackelton who just a few years earlier than Amundsens historic
journey reached within 90 miles of the pole and held the record.

The
Sign of the Whale is the name of our bar. Can you guess
why this is the name?

One
of our treasures displayed in our museum ... is a Mastadon
tusk.
